Recikliran in odpadni les

En 2018, Oliver Reinhard, jeune étudiant en sciences forestières, a découvert que la plupart des charbons de barbecue achetés en Suisse proviennent de pays lointains comme la Pologne ou la Namibie.
Les sources sont souvent obscures et la qualité inférieure, ce qui signifie que beaucoup de fumée et de gaz d'échappement nocifs sont produits lors de la combustion.
Oliver a résolu le problème en produisant son propre charbon de bois à partir des déchets d'une scierie voisine et en utilisant une cornue qui exclut totalement l'oxygène. Ce charbon de bois produit localement se vend bien auprès des clients soucieux du développement durable et des professionnels du barbecue.

In 2018, Oliver Reinhard, a young forest science student, discovered that most barbecue charcoal bought in Switzerland comes from faraway countries such as Poland or Namibia.
The sources are often obscure and the quality inferior, meaning that a lot of smoke and harmful exhaust gases are produced during combustion.
Oliver has solved the problem by producing his own charcoal from waste from a neighboring sawmill and using a retort with complete exclusion of oxygen. This locally produced barbecue charcoal sells well to sustainability-conscious customers and barbecue professionals.

Der junge Studierende der Waldwissenschaften Oliver Reinhard hat 2018 festgestellt, dass die meiste Grillkohle, die in der Schweiz gekauft wird, aus dem fernen Ausland, z.b. Polen oder Namibia kommt.
Oft sind die Quellen undurchsichtig und die Qualität minderwertig, d.h. beim Verbrennen entsteht viel Rauch und schädliche Abgase.
Das Problem hat Oliver so gelöst, das er nun selbst Grillkohle produziert und zwar aus Abfällen einer benachbarten Sägerei und mit einer Retorte mit komplettem Sauerstoff-Ausschluss. Dies lokal produzierte Grillkohle findet guten Absatz bei auf Nachhaltigkeit bedachten Kunden und bei Grillprofis.

Z izdelavo oken iz odsluženega lesa se zmanjša količina lesa, ki se sicer odlaga na odlagališčih ali sežge. Staremu lesu se podaljša življenjska doba, kar neposredno vpliva na podaljšanje skladiščenja CO₂. Opredeljeni so ključni viri starega lesa, razvite tehnološke rešitve za uporabo takega lesa in razviti postopki za izdelavo oken v sodelovanju z raziskovalnimi organizacijami, s poudarkom na analizi onesnaženega lesa, fizikalnih lastnostih lesa in ustrezno površinsko obdelavo takšnih izdelkov. M Sora je razvila prototip lesenega okna ReWin iz odsluženega lesa. ReWin okno je edinstven primer izdelka, ki je bil razvit s ponovno uporabo odsluženega lesa, ki bi sicer končal na odlagališču, in predstavlja povsem svežo idejo in inovacijo na področju stavbnega pohištva.

UNILIN represents one of the most advanced recycling systems for valorizing post-consumer wood waste streams on large industrial scale. It relies on an established collection system and supplier network. Cascading wood reduces the need for fresh roundwood and prolongs the carbon capture. Particle boards from recovered wood are a prime case for Circular Economy in the sector. Highlights of innovative features :

• Large investments in high tech sorting and cleaning equipment enables the processing of huge volumes of demolition and urban waste: up to 1 million tons are recycled into panels per year.
• Chipboards are produced with up to 90% recycled wood.
• To offset carbon emissions, factories are powered 70-90% by renewable energy from wood waste that cannot be recycled.
• Partnerships with a large supplier network including container parks, demolition firms, packaging and furniture industries ensure the recovery of large wood volumes that are no longer usable for other processes.

Ob načrtni porušitvi dotrajanih objektov lahko predvsem iz ostrešja dobimo precejšnje količine lesa, ki s o primerne za nadaljno uporabo. S kaskadno rabo lesa se podaljša njegova življenjska doba in nadaljne  skladiščenje v lesu vezanega CO₂. Povpraševanje po izdelkih iz odsluženega lesa se povečuje, ob tem pa se pojavlja problem pridobivanja zadostnih količin primernega odsluženega lesa. Lkastniki takega lesa se pogosto ne zavedajo, da ga lahko oddajo/prodajo podjetju, ki bo iz njega naredil nov izdelek. S tem namenom je bila v sodelovanju med podjetjem M Sora in Univerzo na Primorskem razvita mobilna aplikacija in spletni vmesnik RecAPPture, preko katerega lahko lastniki odsluženega lesa oddajo svojo ponudbo. Aplikacija omogoča hitro izmenjavo informacij glede razpoložljie količine in vrste odsluženega lesa med ponudnikom in zainteresiranim podjetjem.

With the planned demolition of decrepit buildings, significant amount of wood suitable for further use roof can be obtained. Cascading use of wood prolongs its lifespan and further storage of CO₂ bounded in the wood. Demand for products from discharged wood is increasing and there a problem with ensuring sufficient quantities of suitable used wood occurs. Owners of such wood are often unaware that they can hand it over or sell it to a company that will make a new product out of it. For this purpose, in cooperation between the company M Sora and the University of Primorska, a mobile application and a web interface RecAPPture were developed. It enables the owners of used wood to submit their offer on discharged wood. The application enables a quick exchange of information regarding the availability of the quantity and type of used wood between the provider and the interested company.

The business idea is to build interior with recycled oak. The wood is mainly sourced from traditional European timbered houses. Special: wine press beams in giant size XXL up to 7 m long, in 45 - 45 cm dimension

Small but interesting niche market with high product prices.

Unique antique wood planks for wood panelling, for timber facades or visible roof construction and table tops from old oak wood.

The business idea is to gather used timber from castles, monasteries or old estates. The timber is being cleaned and nails are pulled out; no drying before delivery

It seems that there is a growing (niche) market for really old used wood to use for modern housing and interieur.

Recycled wood is an interesting niche

With experienced processes there can be unique products with character achieved. And furthermore coloured products available
