The forestry services market is dynamic, requiring skilled contractors to meet demand and maintain competitiveness. However, knowledge of their efficiency, social responsibility, and environmental impact is often limited. This is especially problematic during large-scale disturbances when forest owners lack information on service providers' quality and reliability. To address this, the “MojGozdar” system was developed in Slovenia. It assesses forestry contractors on three levels: formal suitability, expert evaluation, and customer ratings. The system emphasizes sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and environmental responsibility, helping forest owners connect with reliable contractors and improving service quality through user feedback.

Korištenjem drona izrađena je baza podataka za potrebe projekta, a na temelju podataka daljinskog istraživanja šuma bi se mogla razvijati tako da bi šumarstvo moglo biti u službi održivosti.

Zusammenfassung

Glavni cilj projekta je očuvanje i zaštita bioraznolikosti u šumskim područjima, poticanjem šumarija i drugih organizacija koje su odgovorne za upravljanje staništima sa detaljnim i modernim nadzorom iz zraka. Specifični ciljevi su ubrzavanje reakcije na nove opasnosti, zaštita i obnova prirodnih dobara omogućavajući šumarijama da odaberu najučinkovitije intervencije, poboljšavanje znanja šumarskih inženjera, podizanje svijesti o vrijednostima šuma i uspostavljanje prekogranične suradnje šumarija.

The project set the overall objective of contributing to preservation and protection of biodiversity in forest areas by supporting forestries and other organizations responsible for managing habitats in detailed, up-to-date monitoring with airborne imaging. As specific objectives it accelerates reactions to emerging hazards, protects/restores natural assets by enabling forestries to select most efficient interventions, improves knowledge of forest engineers, raise awareness on forest values and sets up cross border cooperation of forestries.
