OG has developed a software solution to optimize timber transportation logistics from forests to processing facilities, benefiting both forest owners and local transport companies. The tool helps forest owners estimate and map timber resources, while offering transport companies an easy-to-use platform for planning and managing deliveries. It features real-time data input, GPS tracking, and route optimization, enabling more efficient transportation. The system reduces no-load truck kilometers by streamlining operations, improving resource management, and addressing the logistical challenges of handling diverse timber types from multiple locations.

The project assessed the technical and economic feasibility of manufacturing cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels in Catalonia using local timber. A prototype was created, evaluating wood processing, product quality, and market potential. Results indicated strong material performance but challenges in cost and availability of raw materials. Further research is suggested to enhance processing yields and competitiveness. Overall, CLT production in Catalonia is technologically feasible, with potential for growth in demand.
