Development of a prototype crosslaminated timber panel made from local timber to improve the construction of buildings in terms of sustainability (Grup Boix)

A prototype was created, evaluating wood processing, product quality, and market potential. Results indicated strong material performance but challenges in cost and availability of raw materials. Further research is suggested to enhance processing yields and competitiveness. Overall, CLT production in Catalonia is technologically feasible, with potential for growth in demand.
