The objective of this call is the creation and consolidation of Technology and Innovation Platforms that promote the improvement of technological capacity and the growing competitiveness of the national productive sector by carrying out knowledge exchange, planning and dissemination activities. The Technology and Innovation Platforms are key structures for the promotion of public-private collaboration and the detection of new demands in the field of Challenges. The Technological and Innovation Platforms carry out activities to promote and dynamise R&D&I in the field of Challenges.
The activities should contribute to the development of the III Work Program of the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (PNACC) and be applied research or generate innovation in its definition and development. The call will include activities related to impacts, vulnerability and adaptation measures, or those that integrate in a balanced way components of adaptation and mitigation of climate change, giving rise to complementarities and synergies between the two aspects. Under no circumstances will projects exclusively for mitigation be the object of aid.
